Gunman robs Walmart Neighborhood Market in Connecticut

Occurred January 10, 2015.


A man with a handgun entered a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Bristol, Connecticut, and fled with money.

From an article:
A man armed with a handgun robbed the Walmart Neighborhood Market Saturday and made off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police said the robber entered the store at 325 Oakland St. about 5:30 p.m., and approached a clerk. He displayed the gun and demanded money, police said.

Felon caught in possession of realistic BB gun in Connecticut Walmart

Occurred November 5, 2013.


A man was acting suspiciously and loitering, asking questions about store security, at a Walmart in Bristol, Connecticut.  The store called police, and it turned out the man was a felon, had a BB gun in his possession, and got combative with police.  He had no carry permit.

From an article:
The management told police that a man, later identified as Anthony Perez, 21, was frequenting the store most of the day and asked if the store had an alarm and metal detector system. He also told an employee he was carrying a firearm in his waistband. 
When police located Perez in the food court, it was discovered he was carrying a BB gun. When he was told he was going to be arrested for carrying it without a permit, Perez got combative with police.

Man with gun robs woman outside of Connecticut Walmart

Occurred September 30, 2013.


A woman was walking with another woman and a child when a man came up and robbed her of her purse at gunpoint, in the parking lot of a Walmart in Newington, Connecticut.

Luckily, no one was injured.  The robber was later caught by a K-9 unit at a nearby motel.

The victim told police she had just finished shopping at the Walmart at 3164 Berlin Turnpike just before 7 p.m. and was walking to her car with another woman and a boy when a man approached her, pointed a gun at her and demanded she turn over her purse.  
The victim gave the robber her purse and he ran, police said. No one was hurt. 
A state police K-9 team was brought in and the trail led to the Grantmoor Motor Lodge at 3000 Berlin Turnpike in Newington, where police found Luis Alicea-Rodriguez, 20. 
Police said he lived at the motel and officers recovered the weapon and all of the victim’s belongings.
