Gunman robs, kidnaps, and carjacks shopper at Florida Walmart store

A woman had just gotten back to her car with her groceries, at a Walmart store in Lynn Haven, Florida, when a man pulled out a gun and robbed her.  He then kidnapped her in her own car, forced her to withdraw money at a local bank, then brought her back to the Walmart before fleeing.

He has since been arrested.

Lynn Haven Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery.

It happened around noon Tuesday in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Lynn Haven.

Police say a female victim was putting groceries in her car when the suspect demanded cash and robbed her at gunpoint.

The suspect forced the victim to drive to a bank and withdraw more money. He drove her back to the Wal-Mart, where police say he may have gotten into an older model red truck, with unknown plates.

Two teens rob, carjack, and kidnap man in Florida Walmart parking lot

A customer had just left a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Winter Springs, Florida, and was getting into his car when he was accosted by two 18-year old boys armed with handguns.  They stole his wallet and keys and forced him into the car, drove him to an ATM to force him to retrieve money, kidnapped him in the back of his car, then left him at a facility before fleeing.

The two were caught soon after by police.  Luckily the victim was not seriously injured.

A trip to the grocery store would take 28-year-old Jardin Delman on another trip that would include being duct taped.

Early Monday morning, Seminole County deputies responded to a robbery and kidnapping. Delman reported that around 12:30 a.m. two men armed with handguns confronted him in the parking lot of Walmart Neighborhood Market on Red Bug Lake Road.

The men demanded the Delman's wallet and car keys and then forced him into the backseat of his black 2011 Mercedes-Benz. The pair then drove the stolen vehicle to a nearby bank and forced the victim to withdraw $240 from his account.

The men then drove to a residential care facility, Impower, at 3800 Dike Road in Winter Park. Once there, they duct taped Delman's eyes and hands, placed him in the trunk of the vehicle and drove around for several hours.

Shortly after 4 a.m., the men returned to the residential care facility, removed Delman from the trunk, placed him in a rolling chair and locked him in the bathroom. The men then fled in the stolen Mercedes-Benz.

Two other men who live in the facility were able to free Delman and called 911. He did not sustain any physical injuries.

Deputies in the area quickly spotted the stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, James Burgado, 18, of Winter Park, was taken into custody. The passenger, Jayland Harrison, 18, of Winter Park, fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later by an SCSO K-9 Unit.

Burgado and Harrison were charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, carjacking and assault. They were booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on no bond, but leaving shoppers questioning their safety at their neighborhood market.

"For something like that to happen to someone, that's scary," said shopper Steven Huff.
"You wouldn't think that you would need to be aware of your surroundings like that," said shopper Nicole Small.

The pair are scheduled to be in court for their first appearance hearing at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Violent kidnapping at gunpoint and sexual assault starting at a Walmart in Indiana

A female shopper returned to her car in the parking lot of a Walmart when a man, Michael Parrish, held a gun to her and forced her, along with another woman in the car and a 3-year old child, to another parking lot, where he raped both women.  He then made them drive to an apartment where another victim, a man, was tied up and he robbed the place.

Parrish has now been arrested.

A woman told police she was returning her cart in the parking lot of the Avon Walmart Thursday night when she noticed a man talking on a cell phone. She told police he seemed agitated and was using profanity. 

According to police, the man followed the woman back to her car, then forced her at gunpoint to drive him from the Avon Walmart to a nearby apartment complex parking lot, where he sexually assaulted both women in the car with a young child in the backseat. The man threatened to kill the child if they did not comply. 

"Not only was this a crime in front of a child, but they are victim as well. It's something that this three-year-old is going to have to receive counseling for," said Avon Police Det. Sean Stoops. 

The victims were then forced to drive to their home in Clermont. That's where investigators say he tied up the women and a male roommate, then ransacked their home. 

The suspect fled with the victim's car, a 1998 green Chevy Blazer, along with laptops, a flat screen and cell phones. He told the women not to call police for two hours or they would be shot in the head, and that he had someone watching them from across the street. 

"They still have to live this terrible, terrible nightmare every second of the day now," Stoops said. 

Parrish was released from prison in the last year and a half after being sentenced for robbery when he was about 16 years old.

Parrish is also a suspect in other crimes.

Gunmen kidnap and rob woman and child in Missouri Walmart parking lot

Two men abducted a woman and her 7-year old child, in the parking lot of a Walmart store in Warrensburg, Missouri.  They forced the woman to drive to an ATM, robbed her, threatened to rape her, threatened to kill her and her child, then dumped them on a deserted road in the cold.

Two suspects have been arrested:  23-year-old Alan E. Briscoe and 21-year-old Kevin A. Ratte.

Two men approached the family, one with a gun, and forced the 27-year-old mother to drive them to an ATM with her child in tow. After getting their money, they ordered the woman out of the driver's seat. 

Charges claim 23-year-old Alan E. Briscoe put the woman in the passenger seat up front with him, and gave his 21-year-old accomplice, Kevin A. Ratte, the gun which Ratte kept pointed at the 7-year-old boy in the back seat of the woman's Grand Am. 

The accused kidnappers then took the mother and child down a country road. 

Police say along the way they threatened to rape the woman, then threatened to kill both her and her son. They eventually took the mother and child to a dead end and forced them to lie face down in a field, before driving off in her car. 

Charging documents say both men admitted to their involvement. They each face seven felony charges that include kidnapping, child kidnapping, first-degree robbery, stealing a motor vehicle and sexual misconduct.

Man steals realistic BB gun from Louisiana Walmart, tries carjacking, robs store, and shot dead by police

A 22-year old man, Joseph Glenn, stole a realistic-looking BB gun from a Walmart store in Ruston, Louisiana.  He then tried to use the gun to carjack or kidnap a woman in the Walmart parking lot.

Later, he used the gun in a robbery of a gas station.  When police showed up at his hotel room, Glenn brandished the gun and was shot by police.  He later died from his wounds.  It was only after this point that police realized the gun was a BB gun.

Around midnight, Ruston Police responded to an armed robbery at a gas station on Louisiana Highway 33 in Ruston. Later, officers were called to an aggravated kidnapping at Walmart. A description of the subject, and evidence from both scenes, led police to identify Joseph Glenn, 22, of Grambling as the suspect in both crimes. ....

Surveillance footage from the Walmart in Ruston shows the suspect stealing the BB pistol from the store. According to sources close to the investigation, this was just before the suspect attempted to steal a car from the Walmart parking lot with a woman inside. 

The suspect was identified as Joseph Glenn of Grambling, and was located early Sunday morning at the Hampton Inn in Ruston. That's where he drew his weapon, and was shot by Ruston Police officers. 

Glenn was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no reason for BB guns to look realistic, and no reason for Walmart to sell them.

Carjacking and kidnapping by armed gunmen at Walmart in Georgia

A young, female employee was going to her car at a Walmart store in Columbus, Georgia, when two men accosted her with a gun, carjacked her, kidnapped her for a short distance, then stole the vehicle.

Luckily she was unharmed.

Police were flagged down by the teen near midnight Tuesday in the parking lot of the 6475 Gateway Road store. She told police that two men threatened her with a pistol, demanding her blue 2006 Ford Escape at about 11:15 p.m. 

She also reported that the men kidnapped her, which under Georgia Code can be committed by anyone who "steals away another person without lawful authority or warrant and holds such other person against his or her will." Since the code states that "slight movement shall be sufficient," the victim could have only been transported a short distance against her will for the charge to apply. 

The details surrounding the victim's alleged kidnapping were not given.

South Dakota woman kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to drive to Walmart store

A man broke into a woman's home in Rapid City, South Dakota, and forced at gunpoint to drive him to the local Walmart store with the apparent intention of making her get money for him.  Once at the Walmart parking lot, she escaped and sought help.  The man fled.

The woman discovered the stranger in her Van Buren Street home about 5:30 p.m., according to police spokeswoman Tarah Heupel. The man walked out of the bedroom with a gun and made her take him to Walmart. 

At Walmart, the woman fled into the store and sought help from employees who called police.
The suspect ran from the scene. 

During a follow-up investigation at the woman's house, police discovered a laptop taken from a nearby home about 2:30 p.m.  

In that instance, the resident discovered his back door was kicked in and confronted the suspect, whom he chased out of the house before calling police.

This is apparently the same Walmart where there was a fatal stabbing in 2012.

Louisiana man robbed and kidnapped at gunpoint in Walmart parking lot

A man gave a ride to a homeless man, Edward "EJ" Belcher, 37, to the local Walmart in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Once at the Walmart store, though, Belcher pulled out a handgun and robbed the victim of his money and debit card, kidnapped him, then went on a spending spree with the victim's debit card before finally returning the victim unharmed.

Belcher was later arrested.

Later that morning, the victim decided to go to a nearby Wal-Mart and for unknown reasons, Belcher accompanied him, the warrant says. 

On the way to the store, the victim stopped to withdraw $60 from an ATM. When the pair arrived at the Wal-Mart in the victim’s vehicle, Belcher pulled out a revolver and demanded the victim’s money, the warrant says. 

The man gave Belcher $112, to which Belcher replied, “This is all you got?” according to the warrant. 

The man, whose age was not available Thursday night, handed over his wallet, to which Belcher said, “What’s on your debit card?” The man begged Belcher not to take all his money, saying he had children to support, according to his account in the warrant. 

The victim told authorities Belcher then pressed the gun against his head and demanded the PIN to the debit card. Belcher then ordered the victim to drive to a house on Florida Boulevard, where Belcher led him out of the vehicle at gunpoint and into the house. 

There, the victim was told to sit on the couch and be quiet, the warrant says. Belcher then told someone in the house to watch over the victim while Belcher left and racked up nearly $500 on the man’s debit card. 

The warrant doesn’t go into detail about what happened at the house while Belcher was gone, and a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office couldn’t be reached late Thursday. 

Belcher returned later that morning to pick up the victim and take him back to the Super 8, the warrant says, where Belcher dropped off the victim and said he’d drive the victim’s vehicle to a parking lot behind the Olive Garden on Siegen Lane and leave it there. 

The victim exited the vehicle and ran into the motel, then to the parking lot behind Olive Garden, where he found his car. When he returned back to the motel, he found deputies speaking with his wife, who had reported him missing earlier that morning.

Man kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint at Florida Walmart and Sam's Club

A shopper who exited a Walmart store in Bradenton, Florida, was kidnapped by gunmen with assault rifles in the parking lot.  They robbed him of his car, drove him to a neighboring Sam's Club store, stripped him down to his underwear, then dumped him several miles away.

The victim is okay, except for a slight head wound from being hit, but wasn't shot.

Deputies say it happened around 11:30 last night as the victim, Marcelo Fierro, 24 of Wimauma, walked out of the Wal-Mart after shopping.  The victim says a Hispanic woman, wearing a blonde wig, pulled up in a dark colored Expedition with Texas tags asking the man for directions.  When he walked up to the car, the victim says two Hispanic men with assault rifles accosted him, stole his keys and his car, and shoved him into the Expedition.  

They then drove to the back of a Sam's Club across the street from Walmart and made the man strip to his underwear.  According to the incident report, the suspects forced the man back into the car and drove about four to five miles to the 3900 block of 26th Avenue East.    

That's when the victim says he flagged down someone driving by and called 911.  

The victim had a small knot on his head according to the incident report, seemingly from the altercation, but did not go to the hospital. 

The suspects are also suspects in an earlier robbery.

Another Walmart Shooting had occurred at a Bradenton Walmart store (the same one?) in November, 2012, involving a law enforcement shooting of a drug suspect trying to run him over.
