A man was legally carrying a handgun in a Phoenix, Arizona, Walmart store when he unintentionally fired it, injuring himself in the leg and sending panicked shoppers fleeing.

Luckily, it was not a fatal wound, and no one else was injured.

From an article and news video:
Police said a man accidentally shot himself in the leg while at a Wal-Mart store in Phoenix on Saturday.

Phoenix police spokesman Officer James Holmes said the man had a gun on his hip and it went off. ...

Holmes said the man's injuries were not life-threatening.

A permit is not required for carrying a gun concealed or openly in Arizona.

Phoenix has been the city of at least three other Walmart gun crimes in the last couple years, as posted here at Walmart Shootings, including a robber who shot and killed a store manager in 2012,  a man who had just stolen a realistic-looking BB gun from the store then was killed by police when he pointed it at them in 2013, and the theft of three rifles from a store in April of this year.

Walmart.  Save money.  Die faster.
